As the last show before the holidays start (but don't worry, we'll have new shows next week!), Dana and Dennis talked about the past year, how we and our staff are making it through, our holiday plans, and more. Dana's "I Dare You To" selection was for all of us to re-watch Parks and Rec, which Dennis wants you to watch (probably for the first time) Ancient Aliens.

Tuesday Dec 22, 2020
Dana and Dennis were graced with the presence of past-interviewees (and one of their staff) today for a pre-holiday special episode. We talked about 2020, how we're all holding up, holiday plans, and more with Tammera Shinar, David Shook, Ken Lira, and Brittney Blakely. Many of them offered up great "I Dare You To Selections" (Dana suggests we all take naps, Tammera suggests you play some Professor Noggin's trivia card games, David suggested "spicing up" your hot cocoa with peppermint twist vodka, and Ken wished everyone to stay staff and well).
TECHNICAL NOTE: There is a small dropout in sound around 20 minutes into the show. I had an issue affecting the Zoom connection to the guests so I needed to splice together two audio files.

A slightly-longer episode than normal, Dana and Dennis were joined today by former interviewees Anafe Robinson, Linda Williams, and Michael Dear. We talked about 2020, this past fall semester, how we and our staff are handling the pandemic and WFH, and plans to relax over the next couple of weeks.
We had a bunch of good "I Dare You To" selections:
Dana dares you to watch The Mandalorian (seconded by many of us).
Mike dares you to unplug over the holiday break.
Linda seconded Mike on his suggestion, and threw in that we should watch Maleficent.
Anafe added that everyone should enjoy the holidays and take time for a nice, long walk (or two).
Dennis dares you to watch Home Town on HGTV for some uplifting television.

Although we started with the intent to do some "live news", we quickly switched to talk about the 2021 and 2022 CCCSFAAA conferences (updates coming to the CCCSFAAA website soon!).
We had a studio audience of one today - one of our regional reps joined us on the Zoom to see how the show gets produced. Maybe soon we'll include him in our interviews on a future Friday.
Dana's "I Dare You To." selection was David Byrne's American Utopia. Dennis' seconded her selection and also suggested people check out David's discography, including many albums with Talking Heads and collaborations with artists including St. Vincent and Brian Eno.
